The Tempest! Audio Poem on Soundcloud (c) Shadi Shidrawi 2015 All rights reserved.

https://soundcloud.com/shadishidrawi/the-tempest-at-shadi-shidrawi The Tempest! The Tempest! © Shadi Shidrawi 2015 Torrential rains crackling the skies, On penultimate chiefs of dawn. Trenching mildness of winds beguiled, On seedless spasms of Tsunamis inside. Mellenia had tiled the elements of might Ariel breathing inside out. A tempestuous fragmented scene. A play of utmost delight. Blow winds, blow! Krakens are sleeping below! And once you look up, Dare to chin up, With skies you will collide. Rush rush rush! This century began with rash! Hording and herding... Devouring with ultimate delight... If the Bard were still alive, He would not give up, But should forever step up without strife!

Negative Times (Audio Recording Soundcloud)

https://soundcloud.com/shadishidrawi/negative-times-at-shadi Negative Times Negative times lying through your look-a-likes. simply born or weeping deep inside. the spirit of the hearts watching out... watching out... fading moments are slowly going fast. a ray of light shines from there the silence of those waiting. Negative times are those times that work you out. Even the words in your mouth are nothing but vowels and consonants, maybe just vowels, just soft sounds. The soul inside you is the last foreign language you are learning. and the editor remembers that seeing the positive is justified to be close by close by nearer to the end when.. shedrawi.blogspot.com when the negative begins. when the positive subsides when all subsidiary sunless skies collide collisions widen really sunken into fathomed spaces spaced outside the dimensions of times.

Whereto? © Shadi Shidrawi 2015 Whereto should you go? Whereto should you glow? Tropical gardens,  fade as you grow Whereto should you go? Whereto should you grow? Stuttering mouths in feelings you do so Whereto should your lessons take? Whereunto* the blessing snares hives of bees to grow? Whereto? Let me know! I Have Just Returned!

I Have Just Returned. © Shadi Shidrawi 2015 (To be read with the song by Karunesh, Returning to Now) A bell man from afar! humming in stereo phones  a bass in the background fluctuating 3 notes  on minor scale sitar overrides the blues ellastic its tunes become a bell a wooden flute accompanied by the bass and strings playing a question  and answer and the revelry  within the revelers  continue over nine minutes of infinity leaving me awe struck stress free calm  and  wise the bell the bell! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POd8n0HSp9E&feature=youtu.be

Dissonance in Harmony

Dissonance in Harmony. (c) Shadi Shidrawi 2015 A cigarette butt hits the sand Swishsh the sound of crackling grains, just like the sound of a suckling pig's ribs on fire aflare. A stone drops on the ocean of water creating a gigantic circle a huge leapfrog shivers or was it Neil Armstrong? A drop of water drops in a camp on a head, trip trop drip drop boom boom 'Ye varmint confess!' Awkward moments of lust take over Luxuries of everlasting clasps Hands shaking hands Words kissing lips Surprisingly till the very end.

Reflections of Sunset after the Storm! (vocal version)

Reflections of Sunset After the Storm! Vocal Version (c) Shadi Shidrawi 2015 Reflections of my wondrous wistful wishes, The sun sets straight out of grey clouds over the horizon; Guiding me, Striking, Showing me that, There is always light and hope after the storm. Experiences we live and learn. My story in  poetic dramatic  sunset effects. There is my world  of clouds, Floating with tales. Tales of Thucydides and the History of the Peloponnesian War. No! It's the tale of My Land. A country floating  without a head  to guide! There is thine country, The storm is at its gates, Uncouth vigils of barbarians  awaiting to glide. But that storm, Will be stopped!  My Army its winds torrential rain and cracking thunder will  defeat the threat! And just when, that is done, The sun will come out, so would the poet from the light.

A Lebanese Cinderella of the 21st Century (c) Shadi Shidrawi 2015.

A Lebanese Cinderella of the 21st Century (c) Shadi Shidrawi 2015. Carving through a pumpkin,  stuck in the kitchen with a sous chef, Cila had a lot on her mind that day. "Where's Prince Shoush? he should be here by now!" "Is the soup ready?" Cila asked again "It's nearly done?" the sous chef replied. Memory kicks in all of a sudden, The dialogue becomes mechanical;  All reflexes bounded with nostalgia.  Cila remembers Prince Shoush  The glass slippers Her step mother, Her step sisters... and how she pulled it through with her intelligence, charm and beauty! Yet, The slippers were sold, Along with the dress. The Prince lost his kingdom, And debt is piling up, Like those pumpkins, On the table  Over there!

The Ides of March!

The Ides of March! (c) Shadi Shidrawi (March, 2015). Beware the Ides of March  Sapientia is being hidden; Beware the Ides of March Humanity is being trodden; Beware the Ides of March Ghouls are devoureing the bitten. Beware the ides of March  Beware the ides of March No more a soothsayer  to warn Caesar's wife, A Mark Anthony in every corner, A Brutus in every mind. Beware... Beware... Beware the Ides of Maaaaaarch!

Dwindled!

Dwindled! The lack of Empathy (c) Shadi Shidrawi 2015. Trepidation Rapid agitation cannot relate to anything The treadmill of consciousness mills the floss in my head Hearty at ache Dwindled a million times. Trepidation Rapid agitation Can relate to nothing Nothingness of a quickening surmise. Old is how towns in those cities grow. A treatment of ailments hitting cold but to digest destinations festivals in incantations the blown wondering of times. steering sneering sneezing words on tissues graphically as it seems draw a conclusion of what's left between you and anyone strange. .. all of this is strange lost in behind a train an entourage of iconoclasts a barrage of holy ties. watch it strange straight inside out. better grab some empathy or my system will just smash!

Moans from Dawn!

Moans from Dawn! © Shadi Shidrawi 2015 On a new morn, A great moan came from dawn! No tranquil transmissions  While languages were getting spawned. Agitated by some news I tried to regain order So blessed with the results A page A new leaf I turn over. Amplified within dominions of might, I grapple on what were graphics left years and years behind.  All what I found, Was that all with which had started would never be forgotten or trampled benign.
